Job Responsibilities


Perform all aspects of personnel management for direct reports including hiring, supervising, training, developing and motivating a group of 12 AP team members 
Delegate work to team members, ensuring accuracy and setting a high standard for the quality of work produced
Monitor metrics that report the performance of the AP team members while holding them accountable for performance and accuracy
Maintain a high degree of communication, cooperation, and coordination with entity controllers, department leaders, and other staff
Comply with, enforce internal controls and service level agreements (SLA) set forth by the Company while safeguarding confidential information
Consistently offer and implement workflow improvements to automate, simplify, standardize, and enhance the efficiency of the department and reduce operating costs
Track and monitor the accounts payable aging
Reconcile AP subledger, balance sheet accounts and clearing of the exchange accounts
Research, explain, and find solutions in regards to invoice disputes and past due accounts
Resolve all calls and emails in regards to escalated vendor inquiries/issues including, but not limited to, disbursements and holds
Ensure all transactions are processed completely and accurately (expense reports, invoices, ACH, checks and purchase card transactions) 
Create reoccurring templates within SAP
Review and approve the teams, check, ACH, wire and direct debit payments
Publish and document all standard operating procedures 
Prepare month end journal entries, accruals, and reports
Manage and complete special projects as they arise
Performing other responsibilities as assigned by the Accounts Payable Manager

Qualifications


Experience:
 5+ years of high-volume AP experience
Minimum  of 2 years in a supervisory role
Experience within a shared service environment


Technical Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures (GAAP preferred)
Proficient with accounting software systems
SAP experience highly preferred
Advanced Excel Skills a must


Analytical Skills:
Ability to, track, report, gather and analyze data skillfully, and make decisions in accordance with departmental guidelines 
Proven ability to analyze data to find root cause and provide solutions 


Adaptability:
Manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events within a shared services environment


Teamwork/Collaboration:
A great team player with a great attitude, good customer service orientation, and focused on delivering outstanding results to their customers and the business, overall.


Customer Focus and Problem Solving:
A well-organized and self-directed individual who is able to work with minimal amount of supervision
Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands
Effective decision maker with an understanding of how to meet daily goals by prioritizing job duties
