Job Posting Title: Contract Specialist - 4481 

The DSV Road Contract Specialist role is responsible for the completion of DSV carrier set-ups and managing of real time customer quotes. The position is also responsible for interpreting insurance policies by calling insurance agents to get information by phone, requesting mailed certificates, and/or verifying carrier licensing via internet. The Contract Specialist is responsible for ensuring all carrier compliancy requirements are met. In addition to these duties, the Contract Specialist position follows-up with carriers to collect information required in order for them to be able to haul loads for the company. The Contract Specialist is responsible for performing real-time quote responses and fulfilling request for RFP’s from customers directly and DSV Sales team members. The Contract Specialist will be required to support operational staff in quotes and carrier setup across all Road branches within Canada.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes DSV carrier ‘set-ups’ and ‘updates’ by corresponding with several parties and
• keyboarding the information into the DSV TMS database.
• Contacts insurance agents to request information verbally, and request a mailed certificate.
• Verifies carrier licensing using the internet.
• Completes follow-ups with carriers to obtain information required for them to continue to haul loads for DSV.
• Interprets insurance policies.
• Respond to quote request in a timely manor
• Provide accurate and profitable quotes to the market place
• Follow up with customers on previous quotes
• Mine existing customer data base for new opportunities to quote and bring on new business
• Multitask and handle multiple quote request at the same time.
• Have in-depth knowledge of market place carriers and current rates.
• Applies knowledge of industry terms and concepts.
• Provides customer service to both internal and external clients by applying interpersonal communication techniques.
• Works in a fast-paced environment

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma
• 4 years’ experience in a logistics, customer service or related field.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

• Proficient typing and PC skills (Word/Excel)

• Able to speak and write fluently in English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree in Logistics or Supply Chain management
• 5+ years of industry experience
