The Operations Clerk will perform administrative tasks to assist the operations which, includes

but not limited to, assisting the Picking, Shipping, and Receiving Departments. Will perform administrative duties including data entry, generating and validating reports and documents, work with internal and external customers, answering phones, filing, and faxing. Will be required to perform other job assignments as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will perform administrative and office support activities for the Picking, Shipping, and/or Receiving Departments. May be required to support other departments in the Operation. Will rely on instructions and pre-established procedures to perform daily job tasks.
  • Shipping Department Responsibilities include but not limited to use WM4000 to: Enter outbound orders, build shipments, confirm shipments, and enter shipment information as required. Other tasks include signing outbound drivers in and out of driver database, printing and confirming shipment order paperwork. All shipping functions will be completed according to the Shipping Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Receiving Department Responsibilities include but not limited to use WM4000 to: Enter and confirm receipts, enter inbound receipt and compliance data, create and confirm inbound appointments. Other tasks include printing and assembling inbound paperwork, signing drivers in and out of the inbound driver log, signing for inbound UPS and FedEx shipments, signing for inbound deliveries from Ray’s Trash and A-Pallet, and scheduling inbound appointments. All receiving functions will be completed according to the Receiving Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Picking Department Responsibilities include but not limited to use WM4000 to: Print and dispense pick tickets, and order tracking. Other duties include tracking the progress of orders in the warehouse, printing and confirming shipment order paperwork. All picking functions will be completed according to the Picking Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Will perform other administrative tasks to assist the operation including data entry, generating and validating reports, preparing documents or other related paperwork, receiving and directing visitors, answering phones and general inquiries, filing and archiving documents, and faxing.
  • Responsible for professional verbal and written communication with all internal and external customers. Will adhere to professional etiquette standards when communicating with Management members, coworkers, customer, and other visitors.
  • Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance. (1) Will accomplish all job tasks in a manner that promotes safety; (2) Responsible for organization and cleanliness of work area; (3) Will comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site specific policies, safety and work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have at least 6 months of relevant work experience and/or other training; will consider an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Prior administrative experience working in a Distribution environment is preferred.
  • Must have experience working on a PC and using Microsoft Office programs. Prior experience using WM4000 is preferred.
  • Must be able to work as assigned in either office or warehouse environment.
