The Recruiting Specialist will lead the design and execution the Canadian talent acquisition process.  They need to build a strategy that works closely strategies with business goals to achieve the appropriate balance of talent resources to attract, retain and grown the talent needed.  The recruiting specialist is responsible for the monitoring and improvement of the recruitment process in the organization. The specialist evaluates different recruitment channels and sources and their performance for particular job positions.


  • Ability to understand trends to quantify the Canadian current capability to meet business goals. Creates viable Forecast Model to guide effective deployment of resources and proactively serve as an advisor to the HR team in the field to have consistent and successful programs throughout the country
  • Build a talent strategy for the growth of the business. 
  • Create KPI’s for region to measure successes and challenges then be able to create effective solutions to overcome recruiting challenges.
  • Analyze existing processes to ensure required results are delivered efficiently to secure our place to be the Employer of Choice and deliver a high performing candidate experience
  • Continuously implements current practices against business needs and aligns with best practices as identified by Talent Acquisition or HR leadership
  • Learns and continuously educates HR team and business partners on current employment legislation and recruitment trends impacting internal and external staffing processes
  • Captures and reports on relevant recruitment performance metrics to improve candidate fit and longevity; provides support to Talent Acquisition or HR leadership in evaluations to identify trends, drive change and assess progress
  • Administers, reviews and assesses pre-employment assessment and/or psychometric evaluation criteria conducted, if applicable
  • Travels as necessary, approximately15% of the time


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hands on recruitment at corporate level or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Computer Skills

  • High PC proficiency in Microsoft  Excel and PowerPoint

Other Skills

  • Position requires highly developed organizational and people skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple duties concurrently and maintain attention to detail.
  • Quality drive and results oriented

  • Prior experience working in a geographically dispersed, matrix organization
