The Logistics Technician, LTL Operations will be part of a dynamic and growing team, working closely with internal stakeholders, outside vendors and clients. This role is responsible for providing first line support to internal colleagues and assist daily with solving operational challenges, while communicating effectively to all parties involved. Furthermore, this individual will engage with outside transportation vendors to ensure superior service and accurate rates are being met. The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment is critical. Execution of job duties will require a team-oriented individual that is service oriented and extremely detailed.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Communicate with carriers to obtain required information for implementation
  • Work closely with internal branches to obtain required information for implementation
  • Convey information received from transportation providers to vendor partners
  • Ensure transportation vendors are adhering to the agreed processes, and manage them accordingly
  • Provide first line support and guidance to internal operations as well as implementation support on an ongoing basis
  • Assist in maintaining the team knowledge base and all materials for a successful implementation; ensuring SOPs, communication channels, operational documents are up to date and maintained
  • Participate in meetings pertaining to planning and troubleshooting
  • Ensures problem resolution; including identifying issues, applying critical thinking to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions
  • Proficiently utilizing various transportation software systems (TMS)
  • Stay abreast with domestic transportation compliance and regulations
  • Additional tasks and duties as assigned my management


  • None


  • 1-2 years’ experience in a logistics, customer service or related field
  • High school diploma or GED


Computer Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • TMS experience (CargoWizeOne and/or ExWorks) preferred

Language Skills

  • English (reading, writing, verbal)

Mathematical Skills

  • Proficient in general mathematical skills

Other Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication with the ability to adapt and work within a team environment
  • The ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization to complete assigned projects within the specified timeline and with minimal oversight
  • Positive attitude and a desire to help others resolve problems and issues
  • Possess excellent follow-up skills

  • College degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
  • 1 year prior experience in the logistics field including LTL, domestic trucking and international shipments
