The operations manager is responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision and proper space utilization, equipment and manpower.

 Customer relations between DSV Solutions and Panasonic
 Employee development
 Implementation of quality, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and security programs
 Oversee receiving, shipping, inventory and CSR functions
 Inventory accountability for product
 Administrative functions such as month-end documentation, invoicing, CPAs, oversee counseling and evaluations, assisting with P&L analysis and budget preparation and any other Panasonic administrative requirements
 Lead QIT
 Maintain customer compliance
 Able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by the operation. Participate in established cross training metrics activities with the opportunity to improve their knowledge in multiple areas / departments and be able to assist as a backup when the need may rise.

Operations Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the facility. Plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling returned/damaged goods, maintenance, and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient manner. Direct and oversee job assignments and plan daily labor schedules. Plan long-range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from management. Make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve operations.
Layout Develop a space utilization plan to meet prescribed cost and service standards. Monitor the space layout plan to ensure it continues to meet company standards. Develop and implement an effective product locator system and update as necessary.
Labor Management Direct the operations of the warehouse supervisory personnel to achieve prescribed objectives. Develop and maintain a productive work team by creating programs for hiring, training and professional development. Match the skill and background of personnel to the work required. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, counsel, and discipline subordinates. Implement an appropriate performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and terminations.
Equipment Develop procedures to ensure the efficient operation and utilization of all warehouse equipment. Monitor the cleanliness and working condition of all equipment and oversee adjustments and/or repairs as necessary. Report utilization on monthly basis. Adjust the quantity and type of equipment to meet business needs and minimize costs. Develop a program of equipment maintenance.
Safety Develop, implement, and direct programs to ensure the safety of all personnel, equipment, and property. Provide safety instruction to personnel as needed. Report all work-related injuries to personnel immediately. Provide immediate medical attention to injured associates as necessary. Assure compliance with appropriate government regulations.
Housekeeping Create and manage programs to keep tools and equipment in designated areas; schedule cleaning of equipment, store product in neat straight rows inside perimeters. Assure compliance with appropriate government regulations.
Customer Service Continually maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers. Audit operations to ensure service standards are being met. Establish customer service training programs for all front-line associates.
Inventory Management Ensure current and accurate inventory.
Shipping/Receiving Assure that customer orders are picked and shipped in a timely and organized fashion so as to not effect production. Develop and implement an effective receiving operation that minimizes cost and produces prompt and accurate receipts.

Reporting Ensure accurate and timely preparation, processing, distribution, and retention of all necessary reports and records regarding warehouse operations
Budgeting Participate in preparation of budgets, revenue projections, and account analysis.
Responsibility and Authority Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system; to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system; to initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels; to verify the implementation of solutions; to control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

Education and/or Experience
 Over 5 years, experience in a similar position.
 Experience in warehousing and logistics management, as well as general supervisory experience is necessary.
 A broad range of management skill is required with particular emphasis on leadership, supervision, motivation, communication and planning.
 High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
 2 - 4 year college degree preferred but not required

Computer literate, Microsoft office
Language Skills
English (reading, writing, and verbal)
