Job Posting Title: Project Manager - 6902 

Summary:

The Project Manager for Warehousing/Supply Chain will be responsible to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of our Canadian projects. The Project Manager will report to the Manager of Engineering for Canada, but will also work closely with other key stakeholders in Canada to ensure that the scope and direction of each project is delivered on schedule, and on budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement project activities plans and timelines, coordinate subcontractors, facility management and field service personnel, and resolve problems in area of logistics to ensure meeting of contractual commitments
  • Lead and deliver successful implementations on time, on budget and with high customer satisfaction
  • Ability to develop best-in-class operating solutions that include all operational elements including calculation of operating cost, design of operation flow, selection of technology and equipment and facility layout design
  • Clear understanding of all phases of the project implementation schedule
  • Align work streams with an integrated schedule to ensure milestones and critical path tasks are met
  • Integrate functional area schedules with contractor and operations schedules
  • Must be able to effectively coordinate and align resources from other functional areas within DSV
  • Effective communicator on any related change management issues, budget variances, and identified risks
  • Utilize project management tools, such as MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and AutoCAD, to provide a clear and accurate schedule to leadership team on a regular scheduled basis.
  • Hold vendors accountable to schedule and scope deliverables
  • Be able to effectively transition the completed projects to operations

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • University degree (in Management, Engineering, or Operations) or equivalent work experience
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience
  • Minimum of 5 years Logistics/Warehousing Industry experience

Other

  • Good warehousing experience or logistics engineering experience
  • E-commerce experience including starting up small to large volume solutions
  • Experience in multiple warehouse automation applications (Pick to Light, Automated Sortation, conveyor design, etc.)
  • Position may require frequent travel
