The Quality Control Associate is responsible for inspecting raw material/finish goods for quality within acceptable ranges as determined by SLA’s (Service Level Agreements). This position will require the operation of MHE and will assist with shipping/receiving process. This position is expected to uphold and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site specific policies, safety and work rules, and OSHA/MSDS Standards.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

●        Conduct daily quality inspections and provide counts as well as reconcile discrepancies.

●        Auditing of raw material/finish goods during the receiving and shipping process.

●        Report miscellaneous receipts and issues to team lead/supervisor.

●        Participate in the Continuous Improvement Projects.

●        Keep under clean and organized conditions, the workstation and/or area.

●        Availability to develop any new activity or project assigned.

●        Prepare all paperwork and backup data for return shipments.

●        Process shipping and receiving functions of the operation.

●        Support other areas as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

●        None

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

●        Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

●        6 months experience working in a warehouse/distribution environment.

●        Able to operate MHE

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

●        Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills

●        Basic computer skills

●        RF Scanners

●        WMS functions

Language Skills

●        English (reading, writing, verbal)

           

Mathematical Skills

●        Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing and distributing client products.

Other

●        Strong attention to detail accuracy and accomplish job task in a timely manner.

●        Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance

●        Must be able to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-pace work environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

●        1-2 years’ experience working in auditing/inspections of raw material/finish goods

●        1-2 years forklift experience.
