This position is part of a HR Shared Services Team with particular focus on management of the HR helpdesk, benefit analysis, and multi-company billing and administration. This role will perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level and will be responsible for several major functional areas, including but not limited to: ticket resolution, HR helpdesk management, benefits administration, reconciling billing data and account statuses, summarizing costs for finance, data analytics, 401k, background screening, E-Verify, compliance reporting, and back up for leave administration.


  • Manages the HR Helpdesk ticket system assigning and resolving tickets timely and accurately
  • Identifies trends and opportunities to reduce tickets
  • Performs ongoing analysis of benefit billing to ensure proper amount is billed, then allocated to the appropriate divisions and cost centers
  • Tracks and follows up on payments for six separate divisions
  • Compares carrier enrollment reports to personnel records, correcting when needed
  • Performs benefit administration including advising employees on the group benefit plan features
  • Maintains the benefit carrier portals
  • Works with benefit carriers or brokers to resolve complex employee claim, eligibility and enrollment issues
  • Process qualified life events obtaining proper documentation and educating the employee on what is needed and what they need to do
  • Participates in the administration of annual open enrollment, including audits and system data entry
  • Responsible for 401k contributions/employer match and related activities in the Fidelity portal; working closely with DSV Payroll and Fidelity account managers. Includes reconciling contribution amounts with payroll reports, researching and resolving errors and continuous monitoring to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Back up and may assist during heavy periods with leave administration
  • Back up and may assist during heavy times with background screening and E-Verify
  • Knowledge of employment laws, human resources policies, and HR best practices
  • Advises managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and harassment prevention, and recommends needed changes
  • Assists with records and statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, turnover, and performance appraisals
  • Serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions and resolving work-related problems
  • Assists all levels of management and evaluates their needs in regards to HR services
  • Effectively establishes, builds and maintains working relationships at all levels to ensure the managers achieve their business goals


  • Support other HR areas as needed including special projects


Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or a related field and 5 years’ experience working in Human Resource field required or equivalent combination of education and work experience.  Prefer HR Shared Services team experience.

At least three years of benefits administration experience.


Computer Skills

  • Strong proficiency in basic MS Office applications, with advanced Excel skills required
  • Experience using HRIS systems (SAP Success Factors a plus)
  • Experience using helpdesk ticket systems (Zendesk a plus)

English (reading, writing and verbal)
